Teso La Monja's entry-level red wine Románico was made from Tinta de Toro grapes from younger vines in the villages of Valdefinjas and Toro. Fermentation takes place in the traditional way, with foot kicks and gentle pumping, with native yeasts selected from our own vineyards. The wine is aged for six months in used French oak barrels, but not 100% as some of the wine is stored in stainless steel tanks without the influence of wood. It is extremely clean, juicy, modern and has a velvety and luxurious texture with ideally integrated oak notes.
An inexpensive little luxury item in the form of a bottle of red wine that is not to be missed.
