The 2019 Alión, the only wine produced here, comes from a challenging year marked by frost in the spring and a warm and dry end to the season, so the amount of new oak was reduced by 8%. Fermentation took place with native yeasts and 10% of the volume matured in concrete, without any oak. The change in the oak regime contributed to the style of the vintage, characterized by the frost that struck part of the Alión vineyards. Additionally, the end of the season was warm and dry, so efforts had to be made to control ripeness and power, and perhaps also avoid the possibility of more aggressive tannins. It is a classic Alión, with impressively developed aromas , juicy and round but not heavy, with a touch of earthy rusticity. Over time it develops more balsamic notes and a hint of licorice.
