After the wine scandal of 1985, Austrian winemakers had to reinvent themselves. The results achieved have long been known and are now an integral part of global quality wine production. Along with Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt is the red grape variety par excellence that is almost only grown in our neighboring country to the east.
With the upscale reserve version of Zweigelt, Erich Sattler proves that a drinkable wine with a moderate alcohol content can also be a high-quality wine. Lots of berry fruit, a little cassis and a noble spiciness combine with juicy acidity and delicate tannins to create an all-rounder that cuts a fine figure on almost every occasion.
