Since the brothers Vitalino and Pico Maccario took over the idyllic winery from their father Carlo in 1997, the quality they offer has been on the rise. Full attention is paid to the Barbera grape. Lavignone is the base wine of only three different Barberas produced. But be careful, its irrepressible and brilliant fruit paired with a good portion of juice and power are quite something.
Clearly a price-performance winner that you shouldn't just have in stock if you have a tight wallet.
