The good news first: Brancaia Il Blu has been certified organic since the 2019 vintage!
This assemblage of 80% Merlot, 10% Sangiovese and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon represents Brancaia's top horse.
The aromatic start is pure and intense. Aromas of red currants, sour cherries, plums, blackberries, orange zest and violets are followed by slightly spicy scents and some dried tomatoes. Fruity on the palate, with harmoniously integrated acidity and fine tannins. Aromas of blackcurrants, blackberries, cassis, mocha and dried herbs are convincing. Convincing Supertuscan that clearly outperforms most of its class.
