Velvety and polished, La Gerla's 2016 Brunello di Montalcino offers a beautiful perspective on a vintage that hasn't always been easy to handle. However, this Brunello manages a smooth integration with no rough spots that can sometimes occur in hot and dry growing seasons. The bouquet shows nuanced details with wild berries, forest floor, grilled herbs and wild roses. On the palate the wine is firm, with firm, sturdy tannins.
