Piaggia's Carmignano Riserva is a true treasure from the less well-known Tuscan region of Carmignano.
The nose is dominated by intense aromas of ripe red fruits such as cherries and currants as well as subtler notes of spices, chocolate and tobacco. On the palate it is powerful and balanced with fine-grained tannins and a remarkable acidity that gives it longevity. The careful selection of grapes and the use of French oak barrels give this wine a complexity and depth that is unparalleled. An elegant and powerful wine that is best enjoyed on a special occasion or with a feast.
