Female power with top ratings

Caroline and Véronique Maret, two sisters with wine in their blood, so to speak, direct the fortunes of the family winery Domaine de la Charbonnière in the fourth generation with dedication and finesse. Their wine creations – elegant and complex – pay homage to Châteauneuf's distinctive terroir and have earned them international acclaim.
The winery, a love gift from Eugène Maret to his wine-loving wife from Châteauneuf, was founded in 1912 . Fernand Maret, her son, expanded the property and laid the foundation for its current size. His son Michel, a passionate vigneron, later took over the management.
Since 2004, Michel's daughters, Caroline and Véronique, have been carrying on the family legacy in the fourth generation. Their quest is to honor tradition while pushing the boundaries of winemaking. They rely on proven methods such as careful selection of the best plots and sustainable viticulture to create wines of exquisite elegance and depth every year. Véronique, the master of vinification, has made it her mission to create cuvées of impressive quality that are regularly awarded the highest ratings by international wine experts .

The winery now covers 19 hectares in the prestigious Châteauneuf-du-Pape area, with an additional six hectares in the AOP Vacqueyras and two hectares in the AOP Côtes du Rhône, and is a testament to the combination of tradition and innovative viticulture.
