Nicolas Joly is the high priest of biodynamic viticulture, strictly adheres to the teachings of Rudolf Steiner and is himself the author of several books on the subject. He is the best-known and most idiosyncratic winemaker on the Loire.

The Clos de la Bergerie is pure nature . Countless aromas flow freely to the senses: yellow fruits, warm spices such as cinnamon, capers, peppers and licorice. Gentle and soft and profound on the palate. An indescribable pleasure of the most natural kind.
