The Grüner Veltliner is neither green in taste nor does it come from the Valtellina, but rather the most widely grown grape variety in our dear Alpine neighbors. The Wachau is undoubtedly the most renowned region for this white grape. Within Vinea Wachau's strict quality guidelines, the emerald represents the highest level and is always dry-developed. Spicy-peppery aromas with a little nut, apple and pear set the tone on the nose, while on the palate the racy acidity with a firm body creates an incredibly long aftertaste. An emerald that is completely convincing, and at a price where you might only get half a bottle from other producers. To drink immediately or store. May definitely be decanted in its youth.
