Mourvèdre, the often forgotten and misunderstood local grape variety from the south of France, has recently been attracting attention with outstanding results. The garrigue typical of the Mediterranean region with its evergreen bushes and many herbs comes into its own wonderfully in this example and is reminiscent of the warm rays of the Mediterranean sun these days.
This Mourvèdre Les Jamelles has a strong red color with purple nuances. The first taste impression is very fruity, with strawberry, peach and currant aromas. It reveals spicy scents of the garrigue, such as marzipan, honey, lavender, thyme and bay leaf, as well as a note of roasted meat. On the palate it is surprisingly long and fat with well-balanced tannins and a mild and velvety finish. A wine with lots of character and quality at an unbeatable price.
