The Pietranera from Piaggia is a Tuscan red wine from the Carmignano region. It consists mainly of Sangiovese with a little Merlot added and matures in barriques for at least 10 months. In the glass it presents itself in an intense ruby ​​red. Aromas of cherries, wild berries, spices and cedar wood are noticeable on the nose. On the palate it is juicy and medium-strong , with tannins typical of the variety and a digestible finish. The Pietranera has considerable aging potential and expressiveness, which is best enjoyed when young after an extensive decantation. It is ideal with red meat, game and mature cheese.
